Field Service Engineer – North

About the role :

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager you will:

-Provide some technical online telephone support to both electrical engineers in the field, and domestic end users (the public), regarding the installation and support of our product range.

-Visit sites (mostly residential) and diagnose installation faults.

-Provide feedback and liase with your line manager as required.

-Communicate and follow company procedures, as well as developing & implementing proposed service improvements, procedures etc.

-Maintain standards, including quality, health and safety, hygiene and housekeeping.

 

Key skills/competences required for this role include:

-Knowledge of Renewable Technologies, preferably Solar PV and Wind is desirable.

-Experience of fault diagnostics, electronic repair to PCB level & maintenance would be advantageous, but not essential.

-Must be IT literate and possess strong verbal communication skills.

-Must be happy with nights out travelling between locations

-Full driving licence required

-Should be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 (or equivalent), 17th/18th Edition (BS7671)

-Must be clean and tidy with a good appearance and be able to converse with clients in a professional manner

-Prior experience with fitting EV charge-points would be advantageous

-Must work well with minimal supervision, good problem-solving skills, ability to pick up new skills quickly, ability to work under pressure
