Eddi – Firmware Version 3.048

10/11/2020 – Previous version 2.093

We are pleased to announce that eddi firmware version 3.048 is now available for download and installation.  This is a major firmware update which includes new features and enhancements, as well as a change to the way the server sends configuration and boost timer settings to the eddi, improving the reliability of changes in the app reaching the eddi. For this update process to work correctly it is important that the internal clock in the eddi is sychronised with the clock on the server. It is recommended that the Time/Date settings are set to:

  • Timezone – correct timezone
  • AutoDST – Yes
  • Update from Cloud – Yes

Before upgrading the eddi please ensure that your hub also has version 3.xxx firmware installed

Instructions on how to update the firmware on your eddi and other myenergi devices can be found -> here <-

New Features

  • New feature: STOP mode; eddi will never heat in this mode, accessed via Settings menu or via the app
  • New API calls
    • cgi-jstatus returns status value of 6 if stopped.
    • cgi-eddi-mode-EID-mode EID=Exxxxxxxx where xxxxxxxx is the eddi serial number; mode = 0 (stop) or 1 (normal)

Bug Fixes

  • Device limit causing fluctuating output
  • Battery being ignored by slave zappi
  • Improved battery logic
  • Weekly values in the Savings screen were not being stored correctly (Note that weekly total will reset to zero when this firmware is installed before starting to record values correctly)
  • Low priority heater checks happening when the high priority heater is already heating (resulting in short interruptions in heating, typically every 15 minutes)
  • Device Limit remains on after switching off (House symbol remains on screen after eddi has switched off the output and the device limit is no longer active)
  • Green energy today values were not reset at midnight
  • Output values dropping every five minutes.
  • Corrected problem with power sharing between devices if Eddi is at max power and there is still surplus
  • Daily totals now reset at 00:00 Local Time (was UTC)
  • Dealt with missing pixel at top right hand corner of main screen.

Improvements

  • Change to way server sends configuration and boost timer settings to the eddi, improving the reliability of changes in the app reaching the eddi. For this update to work correctly it is important that the internal clock in the eddi is sychronised with the clock on the server. It is recommended that the Time/Date settings are set to:
    • Timezone – correct timezone
    • AutoDST – Yes
    • Update from Cloud – Yes
  • Auto set time to “update from cloud” when hub first seen
  • Maximum value for grid limit for CT connected to Harvi reduced to 65A (As the Harvi saturates at 70A). The max Grid Limit for hardwired CT’s is still 100A
  • Green energy today value now reported to 2 decimal places
  • Grid Limit Resolution set to 1A
  • Include external PT1000 Thermocouple readings in API (pt1 and pt2 values in cgi-jstatus)
  • PT1000 Thermocouple values reported in histories in API
  • External thermocouples can now have a lower temperature threshold setting down to zero
