UK’s Top 6 Electric Vehicles With The Longest Range in 2019

longest range EVs 2019

Technological advancements and the increased focus on green alternatives mean that we are now seeing some of the best electric vehicles ever produced in terms of capability and range.

The level of innovation automakers are currently achieving and working towards means that electric vehicle registrations have grown by 2400% in the last six years! This is of course music to the ears of our myenergi team, with electric vehicles producing zero emissions and being altogether much more beneficial to the environment.

Thinking of joining the huge number of motorists – as well as most of the myenergi team(!) – in making the switch to an electric vehicle? Explore our list to discover the electric vehicles with the longest range currently available on the market.

1) Tesla Model S Long Range – 370 miles

It comes as no surprise that Elon Musk’s Tesla, the brand that has arguably single-handedly revived the electric car revolution, sits at the top of our list.

The Model S is the perfect embodiment of Tesla’s commitment to innovation and technology, boasting All-Wheel-Drive, a 17” touchscreen and an engine capable of 0-60mph in as little as 2.4 seconds.

Auto Express described the Model S as “an executive car for industry pioneers that want to make a statement”, giving it an impressive 4.5 stars out of 5.

2) Tesla Model 3 – 329 miles

Tesla are well and truly smashing the EV market at the moment, producing three of the models with the best range. Next up is the Model 3, with a range of 329 miles.

The Model 3 possesses some of Elon Musk’s most impressive safety features, including a metal structure capable of resisting four times the vehicle’s own mass, which is the equivalent of two full-grown African elephants!

With pre-orders available for delivery from June 2019, excitement is high for the Model 3, especially due to its slightly lower price of roughly £38,900.

3) Tesla Model X – 315 miles

Last but certainly not least in our Tesla entries is the  Model X, the “quickest, most capable sport utility vehicle in history”, according to Tesla.

Seating up to seven adults, and with stacks of storage space, this is arguably Tesla’s most practical model. Not to mention the fact it can travel from 0-60mph in an exhilarating 2.7 seconds!

While the Model X’s 325-mile range is one of the best, it did score lower than the Model S when reviewed by Auto Express, achieving 3 out of 5 stars.

4) Jaguar I-PACE – 292 miles

Jaguar’s first-ever all-electric vehicle has been a roaring success, with the I-PACE recently collecting a record-breaking three accolades at the World Car Awards. The electric SUV was the first car to win World Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year and Green Car of the Year at the 2019 ceremony.

One glance inside our very own I-PACE sitting in the myenergi car park and you’ll understand why it’s won so many awards and rave reviews. Its sleek, futuristic interior is matched by elegant exterior design and a performance capable of 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds.

Available from £64,495, the I-PACE was rewarded with 5 stars from Whatcar.

5) Kia e-Niro – 282 miles

WhatCar Electric Car of the Year and Car of the Year, the e-Niro has certainly made quite the impression with motorists and critics since its unveiling earlier this year.

Drivers of the e-Niro will benefit from a 7-year warranty, assuring maximum peace of mind as they enjoy perks such as smart key and button start, electric parking brake, smart cruise control and an 8” Sat-Nav.

If you’re looking for an affordable EV, look no further than the e-Niro, available from just under £33k.

Rivalling the likes of the I-PACE and Audi E-tron, Mercedes released the EQC earlier this year following its first appearance at the 2018 Paris Motor Show.

Consisting of two electric motors, with four-wheel drive and a fantastic infotainment system, the Mercedes EQC delivers a connected, thoroughly enjoyable driving experience.
