Where we use third party platforms, such as Google or Meta, to deliver targeted advertising, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, and we only share the minimum necessary information to support these activities. You can manage your advertising preferences directly within those platforms.
4.2 Email and website tracking
We use email tracking in some of our electronic communications to tell us if you have opened the email or clicked a link and visited a web page we suggested, e.g. new product, or promotional offer. This is done using pixels or links embedded into the email or webpage, so that we can analyse the effectiveness of our marketing communications.
4.3 Advertising on other websites and apps
We work with carefully selected advertising partners to show you ads about our products and services that we believe may be of interest to you. These ads may appear on websites, apps, or social media platforms you use. To help make the advertising more relevant, our partners may use pseudonymised or aggregated information about the types of content you interact with online — such as websites you visit, apps you use or ads you view. This helps us understand general trends and preferences, without identifying you personally.
Our website may include links to third party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave our website, we encourage you to read the privacy policy of every website you visit.

myenergi Ltd provides a mobile App and online myaccount to enable device owners to register their myenergi device(s), manage them remotely (e.g., set charging schedules, timers, boost functions), monitor their performance, and the amount and type of energy used.
When creating an account you will add your myenergi device serial number, the name of your energy supplier, and tariff. If you have a dynamic tariff, you will need to add your address. You can also add your name, telephone number, marketing preferences, and details of other renewable devices. We acknowledge that the device telemetry data collected from connected devices (e.g., charging sessions, energy usage) can infer occupancy patterns or energy usage behaviours.
The lawful basis for processing your personal data is in the performance of a contract to provide the App and the myaccount, but myenergi also relies on legitimate interests in the development, maintenance, delivery, and evaluation of the App, myaccount, products and services, and the sharing of data with third parties to allow you to integrate with other services and platforms, e.g. to access flexible tariffs.
The Apps and myaccount store data in the UK and EEA.
You can edit or delete certain information in the App and myaccount. If you delete your App account, the address data associated to you is deleted from our servers (we don’t hold a ‘recycle bin’ for user accounts), although we will continue to collect telemetry data whilst the device is connected to the internet. If you remove the App from your mobile device, your account still exists, and your information will remain our servers until you delete your account or is deleted as a dormant account.
The App and myaccount uses technology to remember who you are and to keep you logged in unless you choose to sign out. We do not routinely access your account content, but authorised personnel can access relevant account and device data via administrative systems where necessary for support, maintenance, and security purposes.
The myenergi App may inform you of service notifications by email, or directly to your device, when we have something important or interesting to make you aware of. or you have asked to be notified about certain events relating to your myenergi products.
Myenergi also has an Installer App designed to help install our products. Installers download the App, create an account and follow the instructions to install and register a product on behalf of the customer. Customer and installer data is processed including name, address, contact details, and product details, and will send the customer an email on completion of the install.
